Glen Lyn Baptist Church will hold a Vacation Bible School Extravaganza, "Saddle Ridge Ranch," July 19th through the 22nd, from 4:00p.m. to 7:15p.m. VBS classes will be offered for all ages, with crafts, Bible study, music, great food, recreation and plenty of fun! Nursery will be provided.

There will be a Big Country Breakfast this Saturday, July 17th from 7:00 – 10:00a.m. Menu is gravy, biscuits, eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit, coffee and juice. All proceeds go to the Building fund. Come and enjoy good food and fellowship at Rich Creek United Methodist Church.

The White Gate Ruritan Club will host a country-bluegrass music jamboree on Saturday, July 17th from 7:00 – 10:00p.m. at the White Gate Community Center. No charge for admission with concessions sold by the club. Please join us for an evening of entertainment for the entire family.

Some Giles County locals will be performing at the New River Valley Fair this year. On Wednesday, July 22, The Keepin’ Time Band will perform from 6:00 – 7:00p.m. and on Saturday night July 24th from7:00 – 9:00 will be Allen Neice and the Country Stoned Band.

The New River Red Hat Belles will meet on July 20th at 12:00noon at the Narrows Town Park. We will be at the lower shelter for a pot luck lunch. Paper products and drinks will be furnished.

Vacation Bible School at Oak View Christian Church on Spruce Run Road in Newport will be from July 14th through July 17th with the theme "Saddle Ridge Ranch". 5:30 – 7:30 nightly.
