1338 will host a Horseshoe Tournament every Sunday in
July starting at 2:30p.m. on July 5th.* *

The Newport Ruritan July 4th festivities
will begin with a parade at 11:00a.m. from First
Christian Church to the Newport Park. Parade entries are
encouraged and floats with a "patriotic theme" will be
judged and prizes awarded. Following the parade, a
"Mighty Duck Race" will be held at the park (weather
permitting) to conclude the day. Ruritan members will
sell hot dogs, drinks and assorted desserts at the park
for your enjoyment.

Lunch will be served on July 4th from
11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. at the Newport Mt. Olivet United
Methodist Church Village Green on Rt. 42 in Newport. A
free will offering will be received.
